Lovesong of the Electric Bear, by Snoo Wilson, is a fantastical and poignant play about Alan Turing, British codebreaker and father of the modern computer. Honored by his country for his services during World War II, Turing died by his own hand — eating a poisoned apple — after he was ostracized for his homosexuality. Lovesong of the Electric Bear is a story told by Turing’s teddy bear, Porgy. The play is receiving its professional premiere in PTP’s production, directed by Cheryl Faraone.
