About This Show

New Jersey Repertory Company presents the New Jersey premiere of The Women of Lockerbie, written by Deborah Brevoort. This award winning play deals with the terrorist bombing of a Pan Am commercial airliner in December 1988 and its aftermath and explores its impact on the families of the passengers and the citizens of Lockerbie who struggle to reclaim their lives and not to succumb to despair and hatred. It chronicles the journey of a couple from New Jersey to Lockerbie whose son was one of the passengers, as well as the remarkable crusade of the women of Lockerbie to claim and wash the clothes of the victims as a gesture of communal healing and closure.
