About This Show

Marking the re-opening of the Brook Theatre, originally a Vaudeville house built in 1927, the Brook Arts Center presents a one-night only variety show.
Rebirth of the Brook has something for every taste. The show opens with the American Repertory Ballet performing Baker’s Dozen by Twyla Tharp, to the music of Willie “the Lion” Smith. Ventriloquist Alan Semok and his pals take the stage next. The first act closes with a show-stopping number from the Brook’s first show of the season, Little Shop of Horrors. After intermission, the second act opens with a local favorite, the irrepressible Kids on Tap, a youth tap company directed by Kathleen Cirioli, and based in Hillsborough, NJ. And the final spotlight shines on The Amazing Kreskin who is guaranteed to leave the audience wondering, “How did he do that?”

The $90.00 ticket price covers admission to the reception and variety show. The black-tie reception begins at 7:00 PM, followed by the variety show at 8:00 PM. Reservations are highly recommended.

The Brook Arts Center, a nonprofit 501c3 corporation headquartered in Bound Brook, NJ, is an arts incubator dedicated to cultivating the arts in Somerset County. It creates a place where young, untried artists can work alongside those who are skilled and already schooled. Various sponsorships are available.
