About This Show

From the Bolshoi Ballet
Broadcast in HD on our 46′ Screen

A beautiful heiress is engaged to a worthy knight–but will an exotic intruder snatch her away? Filled with color, grand effects, and a rousing duel, Raymonda features choreography by Yuri Grigorovich and a glorious score by Alexander Glazunov. This production from the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow stars Ruslan Skvortsov, Pavel Dmitrichenko, and Maria Alexandrova as Raymonda.

Created in 1898 at the Mariinsky Theatre, the last “grand ballet” of the 19th century, Raymonda is symbolic of a key era in the world of classical ballet. Famous for its pas de deux, pas de quatre, variations, and its grand pas classique hongrois from the third Act, often extracted from the full-length work to be performed independently, Raymonda is a true jewel in the repertoire of classical dance.
