About This Show

Families looking for a cool activity on a hot summer day will welcome the Kool Kids Theatre Series. According to Kelsey Theatre Manager M. Kitty Getlik, “Families value the children’s series that runs at Kelsey from September to June and are always sorry to see the season end. Summer is the perfect time to offer children quality theatre in air conditioned comfort. We are excited to be expanding our offerings.”

Two Marys, Five Jacks, and One Very Big Shoe: A clever retelling of the rhymes of Mother Goose with lots of audience participation. Friday and Saturday, July 9 and 10, 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Presented by Youth Stages’ Joey Madia and Nancy Jean McBride. Good for preschoolers to second graders.

The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe: A heroic tale of love, faith, courage and giving based on the story from C.S. Lewis. Friday and Saturday, July 16 and 17, 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Presented by Youth Stages’ Laurie Hardy and Joey Rizzolo. Good for grades K-6.

Nosing Around With Baked Oranges: Classic clowning, magic and juggling with Bolie and Ticki the Clowns. Friday, and Saturday, July 23 and 24, 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Presented by Maurer Productions. Good for all ages.

The Elves and the Shoemaker: From the Brothers Grimm story. Friday and Saturday, July 30 and 31, 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Presented by Youth Stages. Good for preschoolers to second graders.

Jack and the Beanstalk: An original take on the Brothers Grimm classic, Friday and Saturday, August 6 and 7, 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Presented by Youth Stages. Good for grades K-6.
