John Hiatt and The Combo

About This Show

The LA Times calls John Hiatt, “…one of rock’s most astute singer-songwriters of the last 40 years.” His songs have been covered by the likes of Bob Dylan (“The Usual”), Bon Jovi (“Have A Little Faith In Me”), Bonnie Raitt (“Crazy Thing Called Love”), and Eric Clapton and B.B. King (“Riding With the King”). His own breakthrough was 1987’s Bring The Family, which showcased a rootsy mix of rock, country, blues and folk. Songs like “Slow Turning” and “Perfectly Good Guitar” have earned him 11 Grammy nominations, and a place in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. His new release is Dirty Jeans and Mudslide Hymns. Due August 2, the first single, “Damn This Town,” is now streaming on his Facebook page. Joining John are his band The Combo: Kenneth Blevins (drums), Doug Lancio (guitar) and Patrick O’Hearn (bass).
