About This Show

George Street Playhouse presents the hilarious holiday farce Inspecting Carol, by Daniel Sullivan and the Seattle Repertory Theatre Resident Company, directed by David Saint. The production stars Dan Lauria (TV’s The Wonder Years), Peter Scolari (TV’s Newhart), Peggy Cosgrave, Catherine Cox, Randy Donaldson, MacIntyre Dixon, Wally Dunn, Michael Mastro, Mary Catherine Wright, John Keller, Aaron Wilton and Christopher J. Stewart. A cameo role is to be played by New Jersey celebrities throughout the run including former New Jersey governor and Environmental Protection Agency chief Christine Todd Whitman who will make her stage debut on December 3 at 8pm.

Inspecting Carol is a farcical behind-the-scenes look at a struggling theatre company’s attempt to mount its annual production of A Christmas Carol. Complicating the effort are prima donna performers, cast love affairs, a surprise visit from a National Endowment of the Arts funding inspector, and an aspiring actor who shows up to audition and is mistaken for the inspector.
