David Bromberg Big Band

Variety says singer, songwriter and virtuoso of anything with strings on it, David Bromberg is, “a master with nothing left to prove to himself or to others,” and The NY Times calls him “electrifying.” A performance by the 12-piece David Bromberg Big Band traces its own musical path, from the blues and country to jazz and folk, with stops at Celtic and Appalachian music along the way. Basie audiences in particular know his sold out concerts are one of the most musically satisfying events of the year. His 2009 Basie appearance was released as the DVD “In Concert at the Count Basie Theatre.” His most recent releases are the Grammy nominated Try Me One More (2007), and Use Me (2011).
