RUR (Rossum’s Universal Robots)

This Czech sci-fi piece from the 1920’s is the origin of the word “robot” (from the Czech word for worker, or indentured servant).

Old Rossum might have been crazy, but he found a way to create artificial life; now after his death his company provides the workers to the world. So once they out number us, what happens when humanity starts arising within the robots? Is it merely a glitch to be eradicated – or are we the glitch?
