About This Show

Northwest Asian American Theatre Company’s A-Fest 2000 features a special evening of puppetry. First up is Cry of the Rooster, a puppetry collective which specializes in creative and provocative presentations of world folklore. They perform with intricately carved shadow-puppets, live music and actors to tell stories that have universal appeal.
Also featured is Minneapolis-based puppeteer Andrew Kim in his virtuoso solo work Want. Kim transforms into extraordinary masked characters who wrestle with their obsessions, expertly using mask-clowning, puppetry and object theater with musician Andy McCormick.
