Visiting Mr. Green

City Lights Theater Company mounts Jeff Baron’s Visiting Mr. Green. When retired dry-cleaner Mr. Green is nearly struck by a car, the driver Ross Gardiner is sentenced to community service: helping Mr. Green with his groceries and other household chores once a week for six months. This comedy about two very different men who do not want to be in the same room together is also the moving story of two lonely spirits who gradually come to know and care about each other, eventually opening old wounds they’ve both been nursing for years.
