Beauty and the Beast

This Beauty and the Beast, a lovable stage adaptation of the 1991 Academy Award-winning animated Disney film, was a stepping stone to the 2017 live-action movie. It tells the story of Belle, a smart and heroic young woman; the Beast, a prince trapped under a spell; and his entire enchanted household, complete with dancing tableware. This musical is performed outdoors by a large cast and live orchestra at the historic Woodminster Amphitheater in Oakland’s beautiful Joaquin Miller Park. Come early to enjoy a stroll along hillside trails and views of the bay and cities below.
