Amy’s View

San Jose Repertory Theatre presents the Bay Area premiere of Amy’s View, by David Hare. Esme Allen, the domineering and arrogant grande dame of the London theater, is furious that her daughter Amy has fallen in love with a would-be film maker. She sees him as a hustler, climbing the mass media ladder…and falling well below her cultural standards. Over a 16-year period filled with crises and confrontations, relationships are reinvented, views are changed, and the bonds of love and family are put to the test.
