When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again before Mom’s big wedding. In this hilarious update of an American classic, a mother and daughter see what it is to be a family and experience firsthand each other’s lives, if only for a day.

Broadway veterans Heidi Blickenstaff (Something Rotten!) and Emma Hunton (Spring Awakening) reprise their roles as mother and daughter, respectively, from the recent Signature Theatre production of this Disney musical. Freaky Friday has a book by Bridget Carpenter, and music and lyrics by the Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning team of Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey (Next to Normal, If/Then). This show is based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films. Christopher Ashley directs.
