About This Show

Nothing goes right in Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Alexander can’t win. He wakes up with gum in his hair, doesn’t find a prize in his breakfast cereal box, leaves out the number 16 in math class. His best friend tells Alexander he is now only his third best friend, the only tennis shoes his size are plain boring white, and he is the only one at the dentist’s with a cavity. All day he dreams a world where everything is always right — like, maybe, Australia? Author Judith Viorst brings her classic book to life in this delightful musical adaptation, reminding us that everyone has a bad day now and then. Book and lyrics are by Judith Viorst, with music by Shelly Markham.

For ages 5 and up.
