About This Show

Esther Raab is one of the survivors of the daring rebellion and escape from the Jewish death camp of Sobibor, Poland. DEAR ESTHER centers on her as she relates her story to students around the country. Through soliloquies, flashbacks, interaction with Young Esther, and actual letters and poems enacted by children, the play chronicles her journey from despair, to hope, to defiance, to triumph against bigotry and her own anger.
