About This Show

Philadelphia Live Arts Festival showcases selected cutting-edge, boundary-breaking performing arts events, created by some of the most renowned contemporary artists from the region and around the world. Now in its ninth year with the Philly Fringe, this year’s Live Arts Festival will go city-wide with three major shows — from Brian Sanders, New Paradise Laboratories and Siobhan Davies Dance Company — being presented in University City along with a neighborhood hub at Cinemagic where festival-goers can get show information, talk to festival staff and surf the festival website. Highlights include two-time Obie-winner Cynthia Hopkins’ Accidental Nostalgia, festival favorite Patio Plastico, and a synchronized swimming routine in a public fountain called The Crowd Project.
