In The Blood is Suzan-Lori Parks' electrifying riff on Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter, taking us to the hard streets of the inner city where Hester LaNegrita mothers her five children with tenderness and bravado. At once humorous and tough, this play offers a stunning and original look at poverty, community, and how we care for each other. There are Saturday matinees on January 25 and February 1 at 3pm. There is a Wednesday matinee on February 5 at 2pm. There is no evening performance on Sunday January 26.
