About This Show

The Walnut Street Theatre presents Albert and Violette by Will Stutts. True art. Real Vision. Actual Drama. Albert Barnes and Violette de Mazia caused quite a stir in Philadelphia’s art world in the 1920s and 1930s. Dr. Barnes had unique and controversial opinions about art. The drama begins at one of his private seminars–which he uses to further his theories and illustrate the universal elements and traditions he feels are evident in all art. This contemporary retelling celebrates the timelessness of great artists and great minds.
