About This Show

The Philadelphia Gay & Lesbian Theatre Festival (PGLTF) is now in its sixth year. The event features nationally acclaimed and never-before-seen dramas, comedies, musicals, and one-person shows, in a celebration of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) communities.

Festival highlights include Jim Brochu and Steve Schalin’s amusing musical look at gay marriage The Big Voice: God or Merman (June 13 & 14); Facing East (June 17-26), a disturbing exploration of suicide among young gay men from playwright Carol Lynn Pearson; Dan Martin and Michael Biello’s terrific little musical Q (June 18-28); David Sisco’s award-winning comedy about the perils of gay dating, Bait (June 20-22); Keith Bunin’s popular tale of a minister and her gay son The Busy World is Hushed (June 20-27); and Susan Miller’s one woman play My Left Breast (June 22-28).
