About This Show

The Professional Theatre Training Program and the Resident Ensemble Players Present Ghosts by Henrik Ibsen. Ibsen was a maverick, a rebel, and a dangerous radical in his day. His plays shocked and disturbed as he dared to present taboo topics of infidelity, feminine freedom, and sex to an audience well enmeshed in the mores of Victorian society. Ghosts surely didn’t disappoint. Helen Alving, the widow of a drunk and carousing cad, tries to save her beloved son Oswald from his dead father’s tormenting legacy. However, Oswald’s return from Paris proves to reveal haunting secrets of his own – secrets that lead to an excruciating and moving climax.
