About This Show

The Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), Chicago, and Curious Theatre Branch co-present No Danger of the Spiritual Thing: 100 Years of Beckett, a series of short plays. This presentation celebrates the 100th birthday of Samuel Beckett, the prolific Nobel Prize-winning Irish playwright, novelist, and poet. The program features Beckett shorts including “Play,” “Come and Go,” “Footfalls,” “Not I,” “Rough for Theater One,” and “Fizzle 4,” performed by several of Chicago’s most exciting companies and artists.

The program runs in conjunction with “Not I,” an MCA exhibition of artists’ books and films by artists who have been influenced by Beckett.
