About This Show

A hard-hitting hip-hop-journey of dizzying verbal virtuosity. Three card monte is the name of the game, and Lincoln is the master. His brother, Booth, an eager wannabe, can’t understand why Lincoln would give up the excitement of the hustle to put on white-face and play a dead president at a shabby arcade. In the cramped single room they share, the brothers race headlong toward an historical blow-up. Their harsh and profane street lingo becomes poetry in the hands of 2002 Pulitzer Prize winner Suzan-Lori Parks.
