The Royal Family
A great American comedy celebrates Theatre (with a capital T). Fanny Cavendish comes from a long line of theatre greats, and in her day she reigned supreme on the American stage. But the younger generations are endangering the Cavendish legacy. Tony makes talking pictures and juicy scandals in Hollywood, Gwen wants to give up the stage for marriage, and a rediscovered love causes Julie to question her dedication to the family tradition. This is “Theatah” as it once might have been: the glamor and the absurdities of larger-than-life personalities who live in, and for, the spotlight.
