There’s A Girl In My Hammerlock, a production of the Griffin Theatre Company, introduces Maisie, a 13-year-old ultimate boy-hater, who will do anything to catch the eye of her crush, Eric, including joining the all-male wrestling team. The clever and humorous play, adapted from the classic fiction young reader’s book by Jerry Spinelli, tells the story of the curious and confident eighth-grader as she presses on and lasts through the wrestling season despite opposition from other students, her best friend, and her own teammates.
