The Emperor’s New Clothes is a delightful musical adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic about a vain emperor whose only worry in life is to dress in elegant clothes. Changing his clothes every hour and showing off his finery to his people, the emperor pays little attention to his beautiful daughter and hides her away in his palace. As word of the emperor’s antics spreads across the kingdom, two circus tricksters decide to take advantage of his vanity. They present themselves as “the finest tailors in the land” and promise to give the emperor their “extraordinary invisible cloth.”
