About This Show

Written in 1600 and set against a background of romance and mystery, Twelfth Night tells a comedic story of identical twins and mistaken identity, along the way exploring how love effects human behavior. Aquila’s creative team, led by Peter Meineck, Robert Richmond, and composer Anthony Cochrane, freed the essential spirit of the play, remaining faithful to Shakespeare’s words, while at the same time making the performance accessible to modern audiences.
