Jack Howell directs Allen Swift’s comedy Checking Out. Convinced that death will “ruin his life,” elderly Morris Applebaum is determined to get it over with quickly. However, the former stage personality wants to have one last bash, so he invites his neurotic middle-aged children to his apartment for a real “going-away” party.
