New York City
Like many married women on the English countryside, Sylvia has fallen victim to an obvious Electra complex. Charles, her alcoholic, xenophobic, bombastically insecure husband seems to love her. George, her alcoholic, xenophobic, bombastically insecure father seems to hate her. Meanwhile, neighbors keep dying and Sylvia falls ill with a bout of tuberculosis. But only the dormant kind. This is a free staged reading of Cameron Bossert’s Consumption.
