Celebrated flutist Claire Chase returns to The Kitchen to perform the world premieres of new compositions by composers Ann Cleare, Matana Roberts, and Wang Lu, commissioned by Chase as part of her 24-year Density 2036 project to find radical, new musical terrain for the flute and its community in the 21st century. The evening will also feature a reprised excerpt of Liza Lim’s Sex Magic from last year’s Density 2036, part vii, marking the first time the piece will be performed in front of a live audience.

All guests who wish to enter the The Kitchen, including ticket holders, are required to adhere to the following guidelines:

• Show proof of vaccination upon entry. All persons that are eligible to be vaccinated must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination in order to be onsite. This means that 14 days have passed since your final dose of an FDA or WHO-approved vaccine. Valid forms of proof include; showing your vaccination card, a photo of your vaccination card and ID, the NYC COVID Safe app, or the NYS Excelsior Pass.

• Wear a mask that covers your mouth AND nose at all times while on The Kitchen premises

• Maintain 6 feet of physical distance from others at all times when possible
