wyrd : an explorative workshop

HOTEL NEW WORK invites director Molly Shayna Cohen and playwright Matthew Minnicino to delve deep into the new play wyrd. Minnicino's play attempts to expand belief rather than suspend disbelief; from chasms opening in the floor to human memories contained in crushed grapes, the world is viscerally fantastic and richly immersive. This workshop will make use of interactive projections to enliven the play's witchcraft through theatrical innovation, weaving together a world of ethereal power dynamics between the sisters and whatever force binds them, between humans and technology, between text and audience.
