About This Show

This show recreates one of the most popular forms of American entertainment between 1890 and 1929. Consisting of an average of nine different acts, Vaudeville offered something for everyone including singing, dancing, comedy, music, drama, magic and trained animals. By using original Vaudeville scripts, music and orchestrations the New York Musical Comedy Company recreates a Vaudeville show in a historically accurate manner. In addition, Vaudeville pays tribute to legendary Vaudeville headliners like Al Jolson, Eddie Cantor, George Burns and Gracie Allen, George M. Cohan and George Jessel. Featuring a cast of 30 and a 16 piece orchestra, the production features music by George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern and other great composers of the era.
