Critically acclaimed television and stage actress, Katherine Helmond, teams up with director John Miller-Stephanie, for one-night-only in To Fool the Eye, a stage reading to benefit The Acting Company. The show is an adaptation by Jeffrey Hatcher of Jean Anouilh’s Leocadia. It follows the story of a young prince who falls madly in love with an opera singer, who in-turn dies just three days later. His aunt, the Duchess (Helmond), recreates the village exactly the way it was for those three romantic days – even hiring a look-a-like to play the role of the opera
singer! This spirited play turns from comic to romantic as the Prince realizes he is in love with only a memory.
There is a post-performance reception with the cast and director.
