About This Show

Dana Jacobson, a fortyish, single New Yorker, leaves her colorful family of origin and moves to Los Angeles to start one of her own. As she careens through the world of medically assisted fertility she is forced to ponder the question – What exactly constitutes a family? Dana finds herself at the mercy of the foster care system, the L.A. public schools, HMO’s, and L.A. traffic. Dana’s dream comes true in a way she hadn’t envisioned. Ultimately, The Baby Project gives voice to the ever-changing face of the American family.
