About This Show

One Night Only!
Widely regarded as one of the most brilliant songwriters of her generation, Suzanne Vega emerged as a leading figure of the Greenwich Village folk-music revival of the early 1980’s.
Since then, Vega has sold out concerts in the world’s best-known venues, had major hits with Luka and Tom’s Diner, published a book and dedicated her time to supporting children’s rights organizations.
Vega opened the door for a renaissance of intelligent, female folk-oriented music in the decade that followed…cool, sharp-eyed detachment infused by a restless, oft-underrated sense of musical invention that spans club-mixes, Latin jazz, electro-percussive rhythm explorations, neo-classicism, and a sharp-edged pop sense that can’t be denied.
Since the early 1990s, the vivacious singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Jonatha Brooke has won immense critical acclaim and built a remarkably devoted fan base with a series of beguiling albums showcasing her supple, expressive voice and adventurous, insightful songwriting.
Teitur, who plays sensitive, melodic songs filled with a “classical simplicity and beauty” (Kashmir Klub, London), influenced by Sting, Paul Simon, Leonard Cohen and American Music Club, has been generating growing acclaim from critcs and musicians alike for his debut album Poetry & Aeroplanes.
