V-Day-related Events

Cheryl King Productions presents a unique series of V-Day-related Events as part of the V-Day 2004 Worldwide Campaign.

V-Day: Until the Violence Stops is a global movement to end violence against women and girls. V-Day is a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money, and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations.

Wednesday, March 17th at 8pm
Open dress rehearsal of The Vagina Monologues. Donations requested for this fully staged dress rehearsal.

Thursday, March 18th at 8pm
Reading of The Vagina Monologues. General Admission $35.00 – Sponsorship Level, $50.00-$75.00.

Thursday, March 18th at 10pm
Reception on the 12th Floor – donations requested.

Friday, March 19th at 8pm
Cheryl King’s solo show not a nice girl – A girl’s sexuality in conflict with patriarchal values, a tale of sexual victimization, and triumph over the consequent loss of self-esteem and safe boundaries. An uplifting story that tackles the controversial issues of marital infidelity, child molestation, rape, and pre-Roe vs. Wade morality. Tickets: $15.00

Heather Raffo’s solo show Nine Parts of Desire. Inspired by live interviews and events of the last ten years on both sides of the Iraqi border. Proceeds from Heather’s show will go to Organization of Women’s Freedom in Iraq. Tickets: $15.00.
