New York City
Pink Lotus Productions presents a revival of Brad Fraser’s play
Unidentified Human Remains And The True Nature Of Love. Robert Bella directs.
The play tells the story of a group of young New Yorkers trying to find love in a dangerous and uncertain world. Written in the late 1980’s, before films like Scream popularized the genre, the work is a comedy, a drama and a thriller. Like a movie set on the stage, the play cross-cuts between a number of related story-lines: David had a brief career in LA as an actor, but has now returned to New York City and is waiting tables. His roommate is Candy, David’s girlfriend before he decided that he preferred the sexual thrill of picking up anonymous men. Bernie is David’s best friend, and the true
object of David’s affection. Candy and Bernie have been on the outs since
Bernie’s lover Dana committed suicide. Other characters pop in and out and
sexual trysts abound.
This revival has been updated to the present day and features revisions that have been approved by the author.
