About This Show

A group of students participated in an after-school workshop conducted at The Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Queens. They enrolled in the workshop last spring, as freshmen and sophomores. They kept up their enthusiasm, honed their craft and proved themselves in commercial venues. Now, following ‘real world’ entertainment standards, Time Square Groups (TSG) feels it’s time for the troupe, which named itself Trousers & Sauerkraut, to face the reviewers. The improv students learn to trust each other, work as a unit, take chances and create on the spot. Nothing is scripted. While “Fun” is an important aspect of all TSG workshops, it’s essential in comedy improv. Each member brings his/her unique sense of humor to the proceedings. In performance, the troupe is led through different “short-form games”, creating different scenarios with specifics, often suggested by the audience.

Their last performance is Sunday, May 9th at 3pm.
