The Wild Ass’s Skin

The Handcart Ensemble presents The Wild Ass’s Skin, adapted and directed by J. Scott Reynolds from the Balzac novel of the same name. A magical donkey pelt falls into the hands of a suicidal young man, which enables him to receive his heart’s desires on demand–with the caveat that his life span shall diminish with proportion to the intensity and volume of his wishes.
