About This Show

Sonnet Repertory Theatre continues a rigorous pursuit of classic theatre for the modern planet with an exploration of Shakespeare’s beautiful and haunting masterpiece, The Tempest. Prospero’s island becomes a magical but dwindling landscape scarred by years of human mistreatment, while the magician himself is seen as a powerful figure capable of both great goodness and great destruction. This production, as a modernist allegory about personal and environmental stewardship, features projections, original music, and a stripped-down cast of seven actors portraying all fifteen roles.

Featured in the cast are Frederic Heringes, Melissa Miller, Matthew Conlon, William Connell, Jack Dillon, Carey Van Driest, and Patrick Toon. Neal Freeman directs.
