About the Show
The Story of Jo-Beth is a musical retelling of the Biblical book of Job, set in modern-day Midwestern America. It follows the travails of a seventeen-year-old overachiever who abruptly goes from local heroine to town pariah, and has to confront the prospect of losing everything–including her faith in humanity.
