About the Show

Based on the novel of the same name by Roger Bowen, a founding member of both the Compass and Second City troupes in Chicago, The Show Might Go On loosely recounts the birth of improvisational theatre in 1955. Improv was an art form that revolutionized American comedy and influenced many of today’s top actors, writers and directors — an incredible accomplishment, but it was an accident.
