About the Show

Edward Musto’s The Ninth Circle chronicles the seedy, psychological odyssey of Tom Used, a disillusioned corporate outplacement counselor, on Election Night 1980. The play alludes to Dante, the Bible, and Buddhism while depicting a libertine squeezing the last ounce of debauchery from a society transitioning from the ulta-liberal ’70s to the conservative ’80s.
