Can one live well and love well in a time of war? The Immediate Theater Company addresses these themes in Beaumont & Fletcher’s The Maid’s Tragedy, a dark comedy of manners firmly set in a world of intrigue, sex, power and high fashion. Originally written in 1611, this exciting new adaptation by director Jose Zayas is quite possibly the first time the play has been performed in front of New York audiences.
