The Donut Shop is a comedic bombshell about eating disorders written and directed by Carl Stillitano and based on material by Erin Flowers and Bridget Trama. A simple day gets complicated fast when the creator of a hugely popular lowfat recipe tries to get revenge on the chain who bilked him out of his secrets. He finds himself locked in the donut shop with two women in serious denial. One has scarfed down an entire tray and refuses to acknowledge her need to purge; the other works there yet has never taken a bite of the forbidden pastries, or anything else. This accidental hostage situation turns into a competition over him, and a voyage of discovery for each to find acceptance of their own foibles and overcome them in order to make necessary connections with other people.
