About This Show

The Date Play is an evening of four short plays by Lee Gundersheimer and Melissa Osborne that explore the wild and wooly world of dating and relationships

Can’t Dance: Is it possible to meet happily ever after at a disco in the Hamptons? The eighties are just dawning, and Flashdance is blasting, and when the right song meets a partner that can bust a groove, a little dancing history is made. Grab your Walkman and join us for a comedy about a time when dancing was more than a ritual, it was a way of life, and the fact that while three piece suits and leg warmers go out of style, the search for life’s perfect partner never does.

The Pen Pal: Is it possible to be in love with someone you’ve never met? In
an age of Facebook and My Space- do we know more about each other or less? Pen Pal is a solo play about searching for connection in a mediated world that continues to cultivate even more avenues of isolation.

The V-Card: We all have things that we hold onto. This two character play about intimacy reveals that there is so much more to understanding another person than having sex, or is there?

Number 12: What happens when a self proclaimed numbers guy is thrown into the world of speed dating? is it a match made in statistical heaven or doomed to fail? This solo play asks in an age where divorce is the norm how much of our relationships are learned and how much can we learn to change?
