New York City
A burly American workman enters a café in famine-stricken, war-ravaged Bavaria in search of ?good eats.? Passing through on a cold winter day, headed east with a truckload of deliveries, the workman finds the waiter (who might be a son of the legendary General Von Hindenburg), a skeletal woman (who might be a great concert pianist) and a local diner eager to describe the trials of living in times of famine. The Cannibal Masque, Citizen Pell?s third offering, vaults into the mysterious universe of playwright Ronald Ribman.
