Shilmara Stokes directs The Beginning of No, adapted from Anna on the Neck by Cusi Cram. Alex’s drug-addicted dad is in for 10 grand and Alex is in for the beating of his life courtesy of Tony “The Jackal” if he doesn’t come up with the cash quick. Alex is flat broke, his girlfriend just split for Oneonta, and he’s about to marry a woman he hardly knows for her money. It may be the smartest thing Alex has ever done.
