The Allegory of Golf is an unconventional look at sexuality, religion, Chaos Theory, Ayn Rand, and golf. This play by Wade Gasque tells the story of a middle-aged woman who leaves her life behind and takes a cross-country road trip with the teenage girl she finds hiding in her kitchen. The play traces the relationship of Maggie and Hannah, two of life?s runaways, on a trip to California. Their friendship is broken when Maggie discovers too much of Hannah?s past and is deserted halfway there. In order to find her again, Maggie must confront her demons, her son, and the formidable Ayn Rand who, incidentally, is one hell of a golfer.
