Some years have passed since an unspecified national disaster. Dianne and Adam don’t even mention it when they meet on a park bench in Steve Tesich’s Square One and, finding that they have nothing in common, decide to marry. But the national need for vigilance and reconstruction has left the state with its fingers in every corner of their lives. Jemma Alix Levy directs.
